Dear AASCA Directors and Principals:
On behalf of the International School of San Salvador, the Panamericana School of El Salvador, and the American School of El Salvador communities, we are pleased invite all of our AASCA schools to join us at the AASCA Knowledge Bowl Tournament to take place in our beautiful city of San Salvador. The tournament will be hosted by our three schools from November 11-15, 2009. We are very excited to welcome all of your Knowledge Bowl participants.
We include the following items of importance:
- The last day to confirm your participation is October 1, 2009, sending to us the enclosed form.
- There is a $400 per team to cover the tournament expenses. If you are bringing a Varsity and Junior Varsity that is $400 per team ($800)
- Each team is composed of 5 players maximum, meaning 10 players if you bring a Varsity and a Junior Varsity team.
- Transportation: Each school must inform Claudia Borjas - claudiapardo65@hotmail.com, of their transportation arrangements so that we can facilitate the transfers from airport to the hotel.
- Hotel: We are offering three options for lodging. These hotels will have special rates for our students. Each school must contact the hotel of their choice directly and inform us as soon as the reservation has been confirmed.
The hotels selected for this event are Hilton Princess Hotel, Hotel Terrazas, and the Sheraton Presidente. The Sheraton Presidente offers a package that includes bus transportation from Guatemala and Managua with Pullman Tours.

All hotel options include continental breakfast; options 1 and 2 include complimentary Internet access.
- Team lists and flight information no later than October 1, 2009.
- The airport tourist visa for El Salvador is $5.00
- Cafeteria services for lunch will be provided at the schools, each person pays for themselves.
- The games on Thursday will be at the International School of San Salvador, on Friday they will take place at both the American School of El Salvador and at the Panamerican School, the finals and closing ceremonies will be at the American School of EL Salvador on Saturday.
