Large School Volleyball - Bulletin # 3

 Participating Schools

Dear Principals and Athletic Directors,

We are glad to confirm that we have the participation of nine schools to the AASCA VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT 2012.  The participating schools are:

HOTEL:

We are concerned about your hotel reservations. We have received confirmation that only two schools have already made their hotel accommodations at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. They are the Balboa Academy from Panamá and American Nicaraguan School from Nicaragua.  It is important to keep in mind that reservations for the hotel have already been released for the other event happening at the same time here in Guatemala during this tournament.  Therefore, we strongly suggest you make your arrangements as soon as possible.

If you have already made your arrangements in another hotel, please inform us, so we can keep track of the place where each school will be staying.

TRANSPORTATION:

It is also important that your school confirms if you will be using the transportation provided by CDA during the event.

SAFETY:

As it is known by everyone, Guatemala is facing security issues that need to be addressed with your students.  It is important to talk to them about safety measures in order to avoid putting themselves in risk. 

Our school will provide the service of exchanging US Dollars for Quetzales during school hours (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) at the Cashier’s desk.  You may also exchange currency bills at the hotel or airport.

PAYMENTS:

You can make your registration and transportation payments in cash here at the school on the day of the coach’s meeting, or you can transfer the payment (see attachment with instructions).

PARENTS ACCOMPANYING THE GROUP:

In order for us to provide good service to your schools, we are also requesting you send us the number and names of the parents that will be accompanying the teams attending this event.  This information is useful for us to have an estimate of the people coming to our school and effectively plan our inauguration and closing ceremonies.

DRAW

The AASCA Volleyball Tournament draw took place on Wednesday, February 1st.  We took the following aspects into consideration:

•  1^stand 2^ndplace teams (From prior tournament) are heads of each group:  Escuela Internacional Sampedrana and American School of Tegucigalpa.
• Two schools from the same country cannot be in the same group; except for Guatemala that has three participating schools.
• Group A will be playing at Colegio Americano de Guatemala and Group B will be playing at Colegio Decroly Americano.
• The groups are formed as follows:

Please complete the attached registration form and send it back to us by February 15, 2012.  You must complete one registration form per team.
