Welcome AASCA participants! Colegio Americano del Sur is very excited to be hosting this year’s leadership conference. We have chosen to hold the event in Antigua, Guatemala. Antigua is a lovely, historic town situated in the Panchoy Valley. Founded in 1543, Antigua was once the capital of Central America, and has played an important and colorful part in Guatemala´s history. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site, surrounded by volcanoes and filled with historic ruins of monasteries and convents. The beautiful colonial architecture of Antigua is unique in Central America, and its year-round spring-like climate, lovely parks and gardens, cobble-stoned streets, diverse restaurants, Spanish schools, and lovely boutiques and shops make it a popular destination for people from many countries and different walks of life.
Antigua has a limited number of hotels that are large enough to accommodate an event of this size. We have chosen the Porta Hotel Antigua in the center of town, within easy walking distance of all major attractions. The hotel has given us a very favorable room rate; however the number of rooms available is extremely limited. We ask participants to please confirm their attendance as soon as possible, and book your rooms before June 30 in order for the hotel to be able to guarantee the number of rooms and rates. There are only 60 rooms available, so this event will be on a first-come, first served basis. In order to have as many teams as possible participate in this event; we ask that you bring no more than 8 students per school. To ensure that you receive the reduced room rate, please specify that you are with AASCA when you make your reservations.
AASCA Conference Room Rates:
Single: $85.00 US/night**
Double: $95.00 US/night**
Triple: $105 US/night**
**plus 22% taxes (IVA, Inguat)
Contact/reservations: Fluvia de Castillo

Rates include Continental breakfast, use of pools and gardens, and gym. All rooms are on the main floor level; however they are in two separate blocks of space. To ensure that your group can be accommodated together in the same block, please reserve as early as possible.
Preliminary Schedule of Events
